Josiah was the son of King Amon. He was only eight years old when he became king. He would reign for thirty one years. Unlike his absolutely monstrous fathers he would rule justly. He would purge the high places and the Asherim and the carved images and molten images. Josiah would tare down the alters to Baal and scatter it upon the graves of those sacrificed to them.

He repaired the Temple and while there he discovered the Book of the Law written by Moses, something which they thought all copies had been destroyed. Josiah lead Israel back to God and kept the Book. Throughout his lifetime they did not turn away from the Lord. Sadly Josiah would meet his end in battle.
