Who was Hezekiah?

Hezekiah was the son of King Ahaz. He began his rule by opening the doors to the house of the Lord. He also repaired them. He reestablished the proper worship of God, gathering both the priests and Levites. Not only that but he restored temple worship.

Hezekiah he reinstated the Passover and even invited all to Passover. With a real ire for God, he went about destroying all the idols of Ashrah and Baal. He defended Israel from the Assyrians and with God’s assistance he was able to fight them off. When he passed away they buried him in the tomb of Kings.
