Jotham was son of King Uzziah. He too would do what is right in the sight of the Lord. Unlike his father, though he would not enter the temple. The people on the other hand continued to act corruptly. He built the upper gate of the house of the lord, and he built up the wall of Ophel extensively. He built up the cities of Judah and woodland fortresses.

He fought the Ammorites and collected great spoils from them of gold and silver. He followed the Lord and worked in his ways. He would continue to try and defeat the King of the Arameans and the King of Israel. He was twenty five years old when he became king and reigned sixteen years.
