Jehoram, or Joram, was the son of King Jehoshaphat. He killed all his brothers with a sword and some of the rulers of Israel. He was thirty-two when he became king, he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. He walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, just as Ahab did. He did evil in the sight of the Lord as well. The Lord however, was not willing to destroy the house of David because of the covenant he made with David.

The Edomites revolted and set up their king to rule over Judah. However at night he surrounded them and slaughtered them. Libnah would also revolt because he has forsaken God. He allowed prostitution into Israel again. The Lord would stir up the spirit of the Philistines and Arabs who bordered them. They came and ruined and robbed. Then God smote his bowel with an incurable sickness. He died in great pain. He died when he was thirty two.
